over 1 year ago – Tue, Sep 13, 2022 at 07:30:53 AM

Good Afternoon Samurai!

James is on holiday this week so I get to do the update today.

This week we have some fantastic news. The final version of the Rulebook is done!

As we draw ever closer to the print stage we are releasing the rulebook to you guys to have a look through.

Please read through and enjoy the amazing work that Paul and Raben have done on the layout and graphics.

We would like all of you to take a look through and tell us what you think. If you see any typos or if there are any rules that you think need to be expanded on or even if you think something in the layout doesn’t line up correctly please let me know.

One of many examples of Paul and Rabens amazing graphic design and artwork found throughout the rulebook!

You can send any and all feedback on the book to [email protected] please put Rulebook Feedback in the subject line.

Senso Shenanigans: Ordering Senso Info + Senso Gameplay Video
over 1 year ago – Sat, Sep 10, 2022 at 03:30:51 AM

Hello Everyone!

Senso Shenanigans:

We have some unusual news regarding Senso: Battle for Japan.

We asked our manufacturers to send us some sample 52 card decks to distribute at the various UK conventions throughout 2022. Something for giveaways and prizes for demo games, however...

3000 copies of Senso arrived as well (alongside the aforementioned 52 card decks). Our manufacturer got their wires crossed and now have 3000 copies of Senso here in the UK! Looking gorgeous but much earlier than expected!

Asked for 52 card decks, get Senso. Tale as old as time

What Does This Mean For Senso?

As we have the Senso stock, we have decided to offer to ship copies of Senso early for existing backers. As it is a small game with a slim postage cost, we've decided that this can be done for all regions.

Otherwise you can choose to keep your Senjutsu order and Senso order together for shipping later down the line and for a single, bundled shipping cost.

How Do I Receive Senso Early As an existing Backer?

To get Senso early all you have to do is pay for postage on our website:

https://www.stoneswordgames.com/shop

Simply select the shipping item for your region, enter your preferred address and we will arrange to ship your order as soon as possible to the address you put on the website form.

(Note if you select the wrong region's shipping cost your order will not be shipped until we've rectified / refunded the difference.)

Once the order has been shipped your initial copy of Senso will be marked as fulfilled, so it wont be sent twice!

If you have any questions or queries please send them to [email protected] and he'll be happy to help with this shipping.

Can I order Senso As A New Backer?

Yes you can, you can find Senso in our webstore for its Kickstarter Price, if you order it through the website you will NOT have to select shipping additionally as it will be billed automatically in checkout.

https://www.stoneswordgames.com/shop

(you can also add it to the BackerKit page as part of a normal Kickstarter pledge to be sent later if you wish)

Senso Gameplay:

We also have a new Senso gameplay video for anyone wanting a closer look at Senso!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ3LBULWj7c&ab_channel=StoneSwordGames

It's a fantastically light, trick-taking game with an area control twist- please have a look and pick up a copy!

Farewell Samurai,

over 1 year ago – Sat, Sep 03, 2022 at 03:06:44 AM

Greetings Samurai.

We hope you are all well!

We have the first of our painting guides ready to go!

We are working with TransAtlantis Games and Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy to produce the official Senjutsu painting guides!

Their Kickstarter was ongoing around the same time as Senjutsu and their paints should be in backers hands very soon!

The guides are designed to be easy to follow and should lead to great results for novice painters and veterans alike!

Here is the link you can download the guide from!

(Uber short) Post Kickstarter Update #21 New Gameplay Videos + Production Update
over 1 year ago – Sat, Aug 27, 2022 at 03:13:51 AM

Good morning, afternoon and evening backers!

It's been a quiet week this week, with the team preparing for ZatuCon and Tabletop Gaming Live.

New Gameplay Videos:

We managed to sneak out of the office this week and record some new Senjutsu + Senso gameplay videos! We had a blast! (Thank you Richard for the venue.)

These video battles feature the matched characters from Senjutsu's Duel Packs and will be uploaded on Social Media and our YouTube account next week!

A screencap from The Wolf At The Door Duel Pack!

Production Update:

We are just waiting on the Red Wax samples, which have been dispatched and are just caught in international post. As soon as they arrive- I'll type up an update showing them off.

The team is continuing our work with the licensee's translators- which is a thorough and complicated task that unfortunately doesn't give us many exciting things to show off!

Slow week this week- so that's all for now.

Much love,

James (and Paul!)

Post Kickstarter Update #20 Senjutsu Production Update
over 1 year ago – Sat, Aug 13, 2022 at 03:33:46 AM

Good morning, afternoon and evening Backers!

Another short and sweet Update for you all today.

Red Wax Samples of the Senjutsu miniatures are due imminently - which we're all excited and chomping at the bit to receive this end. Once these have been approved miniatures will begin production.

We've also received some samples of the punchboards which all look wonderfully bright, thick and high quality. See the Cherry Tree below- which looks beautiful for a sample!

(Cut lines to be adjusted for mass production. Base not final)

Cherry Tree (Pre cutline adjustment)

Timeline Management:

Following the last Update, we've been working with publishers to agree production deadlines- hopefully over the next week we will be able to make the call whether all publishers are going to fit in the same production timeline as is our intention.

We were also very happy to touch base with Geekach- our Ukrainian Senjutsu publishers- who are safe and well and still on board to produce and publish their Ukrainian version of Senjutsu against all odds.

Senso:

We've received sample final production copies of Senso. The game looks fantastic and the cards are of a great quality. We will be showing Senso off in a few videos coming soon! (As well as filming a few more games of Senjutsu with the final version of cards).

The next update will likely be a more exciting one, with the Red Wax samples and some new video content! Until then...

Much love,

James (and Paul)
