Hello Samurai, 

Just a tiny update to remind you that shipping will be charged on the 22nd May. 

If you have a problem with your pledge, card details, address etc please do not panic. Stone Sword Games is not going to swallow your money, deliver to the wrong address etc. Email max@ or [email protected] and we will be happy to fix any issues. 

£1 Backers:

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped with this campaign, including the 700 final £1 backers who contributed their number to our great final backer count and £700 to the manufacturing pot.

You may have received a Backerkit email about shipping fees, ignore it- you won't be charged for not buying a physical product. Your pledge should have been cancelled already- with no financial information stored. Your address and telephone has been wiped as well. 

If because of a glitch you are a £1 backer and are still charged shipping, email us and we'll refund it with no fees taken.

Post Kickstarter Update #30: Shipping Prices, Guarantees, Schedules, Hub Details + The All-In Box + Dual Pack Photos

Good morning, afternoon and evening backers!

Got a huge update today- with shipping prices, dates, guarantees, All-In photos and more! (Apologies, update was due last Friday but a nasty accident put me behind)

Shipping: 

April 2022 Prices and now...

We announced the below prices in April 2022 and despite all the hardships since, we are happy to confirm that these prices are not increasing.

We will be charging what was detailed in April 2022, having worked through a lot of tough negotiation and back and forth with fulfilment companies. Freight will be entirely covered by Stone Sword Games.  I believe this provides backers with a competitive shipping cost for a product with a huge amount of SKUs, an average weight of over 4.5kg per pledge and a dozen language options. 

Equally there will be no downgrade to the service level of fulfilment, your pledge will still be sent tracked where possible using premium packaging. Our transparent pricing promise will still be maintained as well (see below). 

Payment Schedule:

Cards will be charged on the 22nd of May, over 4 weeks from today. Hopefully this should provide a chance to save / account for the shipping charge.  

Late payments can still be taken after this date, up to the date the fulfilment centres confirm they've received all stock and begun fulfilment.

Fulfilment Schedule:

Senjutsu's estimated fulfilment date is between May - June for Asia.

Senjutsu's estimated fulfilment date is between June - July for Europe / UK, North America and Rest Of The World. 

I will be posting the details of the boats when received so you can check the status to your local hub. Once the product is on the boats there will be a much more accurate estimate on fulfilment dates. 

Currency Conversion:

As Stone Sword Games's Backerkit is setup to work from the UK, the prices we load into the system are in Great British Pounds (GBP). Using the current (April 2023) exchange rate we have worked out the £ cost of the figures given in USD on the table above and updated them on Backerkit. You will charged in your native currency- set by your Backerkit account's location settings / registered address.

(For example- All-In EU at $28 (USD) has been listed as £22.50 on Backerkit, so may show several cents below or above $28 depending on the USD - GBP exchange rate on the day. The sooner you pay the shipping, the closer the rate will be to the figures put out today.)

Parcel Weight:

We guess-timated the various parcel weights of Senjutsu back in April 2022 and these weights have now been verified and confirmed by both the manufacturer and ourselves. 

With packing, a Core Copy of Senjutsu weights around 2.5kg, a Deluxe Copy 3kg and All-In Pledges 6kg+ (vs an estimate of 8kg). 

These weights include premium packaging to make sure your copy is safe during its long journey. (We will replace any broken or damaged or missing in-box components regardless). 

Which Shipping Profile do I fit?

The shipping profile : "Core / Deluxe Pledges" include all pledges that include a Core or Deluxe copy of Senjutsu, the free Senjutsu Coin and one Duel Pack / Character Expansion (Including the Early Bird). Your pledge will also fall into this category if it contains a Core copy of Senjutsu and two Duel Packs only.  

"All-In Pledges" covers all other pledge types- generally starting with a weight of 4kg+ when packed.

Taxes and Duties: 

These prices include VAT (where applicable), fuel levy, sales tax and all other relevant taxes and duties. There is nothing additional to pay on the prices above.

Freight Prices:

Freight Costs are being entirely covered by Stone Sword Games and do not factor into these prices, nor is freight liable to be paid by customers. We are paying freight from our own war-chest. 

Rest Of The World Shipping:

VFI Asia will be used where possible to ensure a smooth and streamlined delivery. No additional taxes or duties will have to be paid. 

Shipping Handlers:

Where possible, shipping will be sent Tracked and as priority / rapid mail. For example in the UK and EU we will be shipping a large majority of Senjutsu orders through DPD who offers a 48 hour delivery service as standard, with tracking integration. 

Hub Details:

UK orders will ship from the UK.

EU and European Orders will ship from one of two European hubs.

Canada, USA and Mexico will ship from a US hub.

RoW and Asia will ship from VFI's Asian hub.

Australia and New Zealand will ship from an Australian Hub after road transport from the Asian hub.

Transparency and Profit:

If a situation arises where Stone Sword Games charges you more for your shipping than it actually costs*, this balancing sum will be offered back via a refund. These costs will be published transparently in a Fulfilment Partner Kickstarter Update later in the year.

* (Including staff costs, picking, boxes and packing materials etc.)

Good morning, afternoon and evening honoured Daimyo,

Today we've got an exciting Update for you! The final Core and Deluxe production copy of Senjutsu: Battle For Japan has landed in the UK with us and we were very keen to have a look at all the Samurai goodness!

Paying extra to get the Campaign Books ringbound has really enhanced the product, they provide a great backdrop with which to play through adventures in feudal Japan- and we're confident any future Senjutsu releases will feature more of this type of product, whether Senjutsu stays in Japan (1540-1620) or explores new lands and time periods. 

The core box has been upgraded with a PET plastic protector lid for the main tray- this was done at cost and enhances the final box quality whilst keeping all those components safe. 

Hopefully our hard work is evident in the high quality product we can show off above - hundreds of hours of back-and-forth with the manufacturer (blood, sweat and tears) have ensured each component has been checked, fixed and improved. 

(The only thing from the Deluxe we haven't received is the slipcover- which was missed but should be coming soon. It will be featured in a coming Update containing a full look at the Character Packs!)

Our next Update will contain the shipping costs, the payment schedule for shipping and a revised fulfilment timetable- that breaks down the delivery window for each territory and hopefully clears up the overall picture for fulfilment. 

We're working hard our end to make sure this part of the process goes smoothly- which is part of the reason for the delay- but when we get this right, Stone Sword Games will ensure we can support and grow Senjutsu for years to come!

Post Kickstarter Mini-Update #28: Production Photos

Good morning, afternoon and evening backers, 

Some production photos in the update below. We will release an unboxing video when the sample copies land in the UK- something we're very keen to receive as the digital files / proofs just don't do this game justice. 

Still awaiting fulfilment costings for some territories- and these will be posted in a larger update as soon as we've received them.

German Backers:

Giant Roc are currently running a German crowdfunding campaign for the Winds Of Change book. It has been added to their retail / direct to customer offering following an amendment to their licensing agreement.

The Winds Of Change is already included in all German Deluxe / All-In Pledges ordered on this Kickstarter / Stone Sword's Backerkit, in the German language. 

Production Update:

Making good progress this week- just awaiting images for the manufacturer's final tray design following our feedback. There will be a unique tray design for the core box, each character pack and for the Big Box.

Post Kickstarter Mini-Update #27: Shipping Rates + Good News For 'Card Sleevers'

Greetings Samurai, 

Very small update for you this week.

Shipping Rates:

Last update, we did say shipping prices will feature in the next update- but unfortunately we are waiting on some up-to-date shipping rate data from some regions (and would rather post all rates together, rather than piecemeal).

As soon as we have our questions answered by the fulfilment companies for these final regions, I'll post an update detailing a breakdown of every region's shipping price for each pledge level. We do not anticipate it taking long and will make sure there is a suitable period post-update to gather funds before the card is charged.

Good News For 'Card Sleevers':

We've had a few comments asking whether the 900+ cards in the 'All-In' pledge fit the Big Box when 'sleeved'!

We've checked the final tray measurements with the manufacturers and we're happy to confirm that yes, you can certainly can fit all cards into the Big Box provided, even if you sleeve them.

(To clarify, the Big Box has several custom insert trays that hold every fighter, objective and terrain miniature from the Senjutsu Season 1 content in the same box - as well as all tokens and the 17 decks of cards included. It is not merely a box that holds other boxes- but a  top quality storage option for Senjutsu that should last for a very long time!)
